Question 1

SEAO is free — why pay for AppelsOffres Pro?

Accepted Answer

SEAO is the official source and it does its job well: publishing notices. But its category notifications send everything that falls into the box, with no sorting by relevance — and federal contracts (CanadaBuys) are a separate portal. AppelsOffres Pro pays for itself in time: the 0-100 score does the first pass, the AI summary replaces the full read, and comparable values replace manually compiling awards. If the tool saves you even one hour a month, it pays for itself.

Question 2

What is the main difference between AppelsOffres Pro and Décroche?

Accepted Answer

Coverage and data depth. According to their public site, Décroche monitors SEAO (Québec) and relies mainly on an email digest. AppelsOffres Pro covers SEAO AND CanadaBuys (federal contracts) in a full application, plus award history, comparable values to calibrate your prices, and the subcontracting radar.

Question 3

Why does AppelsOffres Pro cost more than Décroche's entry plan?

Accepted Answer

According to the pricing on their site, Décroche's entry plan at $29 covers a single Québec region with a weekly email. AppelsOffres Pro's Pro plan at $49 includes all regions, federal contracts (CanadaBuys), award history and the full application — coverage comparable to their higher plan, with more data.

Question 4

Is Constructo a direct competitor?

Accepted Answer

Constructo is an established player, mostly relevant to large construction firms with an estimating department. For a multi-sector SMB that wants a modern, affordable tool, AI platforms like AppelsOffres Pro are generally a better fit.
