Question 1

How do I find public tenders in Québec?

Accepted Answer

Québec's public tenders are published on SEAO (Système électronique d'appel d'offres) and federal ones on CanadaBuys. AppelsOffres Pro brings both sources together in one place and scores every opportunity from 0 to 100 against your company profile, which eliminates manual monitoring.

Question 2

What is SEAO?

Accepted Answer

SEAO is the Québec government's electronic tendering system. Québec public bodies (ministries, municipalities, health and education networks) publish their public tenders and contract award notices there. The thresholds that require a public tender vary by type of organization and contract, and they are indexed periodically.

Question 3

How much does AppelsOffres Pro cost?

Accepted Answer

The Pro plan is $49 per month (or $490 per year) and the Pro+ plan with AI summaries is $99 per month (or $990 per year). A free 14-day trial is available, no credit card required.

Question 4

My SMB is too small to bid. Is it still useful?

Accepted Answer

Yes. AppelsOffres Pro's subcontracting radar identifies the companies that just won large public contracts (SEAO award notices) so you can offer them your services as a subcontractor.

Question 5

What's the difference between SEAO and CanadaBuys?

Accepted Answer

SEAO covers Québec public contracts (provincial, municipal, health, education) while CanadaBuys covers Canadian federal government contracts. A Québec SMB should monitor both; AppelsOffres Pro brings them together in a single search.
